Nabq Bay – Prime locations in Sharm El Sheikh

Nabq Bay Sharm El SheikhFor many years now, the popular resort of Sharm El Sheikh has been the focus of tourism in and around the Red Sea. Attracted by the world class watersports (some of the world’s finest scuba diving sites can be found in the Northern Red Sea), and the superb nightlife of the Naama Bay area, Sharm El Sheikh has consistently attracted large numbers of tourist visitors each year.

As a result of these increasing levels of tourism, a considerable demand has developed for property in Sharm El Sheikh and the surrounding areas. With the main Naama Bay area already being well developed, the new resorts have traditionally tended to focus on the region slightly further north, in and around the Shark’s Bay area of Sharm El Sheikh.

More recently however, the emphasis has shifted even further up the coast, towards the Nabq Bay area, were a number of superb new off-plan properties are being developed.  Overlooking the beautiful Straits of Tiran and Tiran Island, Nabq Bay offers all the benefits of nearby Sharm El Sheikh, as well as the additional benefits of the peace and tranquillity that the more relaxed surroundings can offer.

The entire region in and around Nabq Bay has been carefully thought out, with a wide selection of world class hotels already commited to developing in the town. As well as the hotels, a superb new shopping centre is also being developed, which will offer a range of retails opportunities for visitors and residents looking to relaz away from the warm of the Egyptian sunshine.

For people looking to buy property in Sharm El Sheikh, Nabq Bay represents a sound option, and one worthy of detailed consideration. Developments such as the Monna Sharm Resort and the Maraqia Resort Sharm El Sheikh have already proven popular with people looking to purchase property in Egypt, and this trend shows signs of only increasing in the near future.

I have been on diving holidays to Sharm El Sheikh many times, and am in fact looking to buy a property there later this year for investment.

However, I have never been to Nabq Bay, and was wondering how far up the coast it actually is? Is it near to Naama Bay, as that is undoubtedly where all of the nightlife is in Sharm El Sheikh, and people who are looking to rent an apartment in Sharm El Sheikh will probably what to be close to the entertainment district.

If you could let me know,

    Hi,

My husband and I are looking to purchase a property in Sharm El Sheikh, and have come across a few developments in Nabq Bay whilst we’ve been looking. Can anyone who has been there give us their independent opinion? I’ve been looking at The View and the Maraqia Resort, both of which seem relatively well priced at the moment.

Also, we are both avid scuba divers, and so would like to know if there are any scuba diving schools in the Nabq Bay area. There are plenty in Sharm El Sheikh, but I am not sure if they would like to drive and pick us up each day in Nabq Bay. Again, any thoughts gradly received.

    Hi Donna,

The Nabq Bay region is further up towards the airport, but to be honest, the majority of the dive sites are the ones which you would visit from the main dive schools in Sharm.

If you’ve dived there before, you’ll likely have dived at the Tiran Island dive site, it’s the one with the large wreck sat on top of the reef. To give you an idea of where Nabq Bay is, it’s directly across from the Straits of Tiran and Tiran Island. Naturally however, this does make for a rather nice view from your property! :-)

    Hi Donna,

Mark65 is correct here, in that it doesn’t really matter where you are based in Sharm el Sheikh, as the dive schools will come and pick you up anyway.

The majority of the dive sites though are further up from the main Naama Bay area in Sharm El Sheikh, and are in fact situated directly across from the Nabq Bay area. I’ve seen some excellent marine life up in that region, in particular a big school of dolphins.

In terms of the property in Nabq Bay, there is a good, and growing selection at present, and I understand a number of developers are now looking at Nabq Bay with a view to lauching more new developments. You mentioned the Maraqia Resort and The View, I would also suggest you take a look at the Viva Reef development, which is pretty impressive.
